PhenoTest

The PhenoTest is an automated, patented testing method for 4D-phenotyping. The sugar beet seedlings are measured 3-dimensionally in terms of size and shape and also over the course of time. The temporal measurements make the method 4-dimensional. Both the germination and growing capacity of the seeds and seedlings are tested. The phenoTest is the world's first automated germination test for sugar beets with these measured parameters and this level of throughput.

The method improves our quality controls. The PhenoTest enables more precise predictions on how our seed will behave on the field. This allows us to ensure that farmers are always supplied with highly productive seeds with excellent growing capacity and rapid juvenile development.
