BlueMobil

Strube has been completing test harvests since the 2000 harvest year with its custom converted harvesters. The BlueMobil is a sugar beet harvesting machine developed specially for plot harvesting, which is considered an innovation in testing technology.

Beets can be headed, dugged up, washed, and weighed in just one work step. Then beets are processed into pulp samples in a high pressure process and inspected directly for their contents and sugar content using near infrared spectral measurement (NIRS), a technology specially developed for our BlueMobile. The beet pulp is frozen in small plates and transported to a highly modern beet laboratory in Schlanstedt for further analysis.
