Intensive breeding work: new sugar beet varieties from Strube

The seed breeding company Strube can look forward to new registrations in the sugar beet segment throughout Europe and can welcome a total of 35 new varieties to its product portfolio.

The number of varieties registered in 2020 exceeds the previous year's number of registrations. Whereas there were around 30 new varieties in 2019, the number has increased to 35 this year. There were seven new varieties for France and four in the Netherlands, among others.
In the German market, Strube can welcome orpheus, capone and pitt. With orpheus, the Bundessortenamt has approved the sweetest nematode-tolerant variety in Germany. The Z-type is particularly convincing due to its very high sugar content and shines as a new cornerstone in the NT range.
